Evergreen Recovery Centers offers services to assist persons with substance use-related legal system proceedings.

 DUI and Deferred Prosecution

Evergreen Recovery Centers provides all the treatment components required for individuals seeking a DUI-related Deferred Prosecution. The process begins with a legal drug and alcohol assessment which often includes a collateral interview with a friend or relative. If seeking a deferred prosecution, you may be expected to demonstrate your commitment to the program by starting treatment in advance of presenting a petition for Deferred Prosecution. Once the order is entered, you are required to complete a two-year treatment program, which begins with intensive outpatient or residential treatment and tapers to monthly monitoring groups.

Monitoring after completion of treatment requires both attending the group and leaving a drug screening sample (assuming the court is ordering abstinence). During the two-year treatment period required in a Deferred Prosecution, Evergreen Recovery Centers will monitor the recipient’s progress in treatment and compliance with the court order and provide monthly status reports to the court.

Testimonials

“My girlfriend would be dead or in prison without going to Evergreen. She is 19 years sober and is a drug and alcohol counselor who helps people every day.”

Family Member

“Evergreen has pretty much saved my life. Three months ago I was homeless, addicted to meth and was looking at a prison sentence of 28 months. By the grace of God I got into Evergreen and met the staff who really cared.”

LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion) Case Management

Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) is a collaborative project involving local police, prosecutors, public defenders, corrections officers, and social service providers designed to divert individuals arrested or suspected of low-level property crimes, drug offenses, and/or prostitution into social services rather than the criminal justice system. The Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office manages the LEAD program for Snohomish County and subcontracts with Evergreen Recovery Centers for intensive case management services.

LEAD case managers can provide assistance to meet individuals’ immediate needs as well as long-term case management support. Short-term immediate needs are addressed and longer-term plans are developed. Engagement and care coordination are continued under a harm reduction approach. Help is available for:

  • Access to food, clothing, and hygiene services; emergent medical care
  • Short term shelter and housing
  • Apple Health Plan enrollment
  • Access to substance use or mental health treatment and recovery supports
  • Assistance in obtaining ID
  • Transportation supports
  • Return to work assistance
  • LEAD Case Management currently is available for law enforcement referrals from Everett and Lynnwood

Family Drug Court

Evergreen Recovery Centers is part of the Snohomish County Family Drug Treatment Court team that helps parents who are at risk for losing custody of their children due to substance use disorders. This intensive program is designed to support the parents to obtain treatment and establish a solid recovery lifestyle, with the ultimate goal of reunifying them with their children. Evergreen Recovery Centers completes an assessment on the participant(s), provides or refers to treatment, and works closely with the rest of the Family Drug Court team to monitor the participants’ progress. This program involves intensive case management by our experienced Family Drug Court Supervisor to address potential barriers and help parents to succeed.
